By using Booknest, you agree to these terms. They’re written plainly on purpose.
The service
Booknest is a free tool for keeping track of your reading — the books you own, want to read, are reading, and have finished. We offer it as-is and may change or discontinue features over time.
Your account
- You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your password, if you set one, secure.
- Use an email address you control, and don’t impersonate others or use someone else’s account.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Booknest to break the law, abuse the service (for example, automated scraping or overloading it), attempt to access other people’s data, or interfere with how it runs.
Your content
The books, shelves, ratings, and tags you add are yours. You grant us only what’s needed to store them and show them back to you. We don’t claim ownership of your library.
Book information
Book details and covers come from third-party catalogues (Google Books and Open Library) and are provided as-is; we can’t guarantee they are complete or accurate.
No warranty
Booknest is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Booknest. It’s a free reading tracker — please keep your own copies of anything important. You can export your whole library any time from Settings.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
